Beginners to Metal Detecting

    Are you confused with all of the information out there on metal detectors? Not sure which metal detector is the right one for you? This article is intended to get you started in the right direction giving you the knowledge to ask the right questions.

    There are many uses for metal detectors, Gold prospecting, Coin shooting, Relic searching to name a few. There are also many types of metal detectors on the market that have unique and varying abilities. Cost can vary from under $100.00 to over $1000.00. So were do you begin?
    One of the first questions you should be asking yourself is what am I going to look for with my metal detector? Is it coins on a sandy beach, relics at old ruins, gold nuggets out west, jewelry in parks and camping areas? Am I going to search under water or on dry land? Is the area that I intend to search high in mineral content?

Most include news articles that can give you a better understanding of the metal detecting industry and reviews that show you what other people think about a given detector. Most all have treasure hunting stories that give you ideas of what other treasure hunter are doing and finding!
